Bandwidth says the app will feature photographs of the guitars by Steven Sebring, detailed descriptions and even “scratches, dings and worn threads as if (fans) were themselves holding the instruments.”
Also included will be audio recordings from Harrison talking about the guitars and playing portions of songs.
Each guitar’s history, how Harrison acquired them, modications he made to it and how they were used in his career will also be part of the app, the company says.
Included in the video section will be demonstrations by Ben Harper, Josh Homme, Mike Campbell and Dhani Harrison of the guitars’ aspects plus a Dhani Harrison interview by Conan O’Brien about the guitars.
Also included will be an interview with the late guitarist Gary Moore on Harrison’s guitar work.
The price of the app will be $9.99, according to Bandwidth.
